Mystic Messenger

A mysterious (and fun) messaging app

Mystic Messenger is a 'visual novel' game (an 'otome', to be more specific). In it, you play young girl and get to chat with loads of characters through a mysterious messaging app. Give your character a name and start chatting!

The gameplay in Mystic Messenger is very similar to other games of the same genre, with the exception of the interface, which perfectly mimics a messaging app. Just like a real messaging app, you can start conversations, exchange text messages with the various characters, and receive notifications when a character messages you. Normally you'll have two or three options when responding, but choose wisely - your responses will determine your protagonist's destiny.

Almost all the action happens in Mystic Messenger's chat rooms, where the messages you send directly alter the story's development. In addition to joining the conversation in the main chat room, you can also send private messages to all the characters. Although the private messages don't normally make the main story progress, you can learn some interesting information about the game and each character's backstory.

Mystic Messenger is one of the best 'otome' games available on Android. Not only does the game offer an interface and plot that's perfectly suited for smartphones, but also a wide variety of interesting characters to chat with and great graphics. But there's more than just text messages in Mystic Messages; there's also an image gallery where you can take a look at pictures of scenes you unlock as you play the game.
50 free Android games featuring female protagonists

The world of videogames is packed full of stories featuring men. It's a fact that this has been going on for decades but fortunately, little by little, things have finally begun to change, mature, and evolve. We need more women being featured in video games (and programming, illustrating, and production, too). This is why we've put together a list of 50 games featuring female characters. Who knows, maybe next year we can make a list of 100 games. And with any luck, this type of list won't even be necessary in a few years.
